Russian President Vladimir Putin has made a judo DVD with Olympic judo champion Yasuhiro Yamashita. The DVD teaches people about judo. Putin has a black belt in judo. He helped write a book about judo a few years ago. Yamashita and Putin taught some judo students together in St. Petersburg, Russia. Putin is physically very fit and this has made him very popular with Russians. The president before Putin, Boris Yeltsin, was not very healthy.

A high school teacher in the United States wanted to take a gun to her school. But a judge said she was not allowed to take the gun to school.

The teacher, whose name is Shirley Katz, said she needed the gun to protect herself from her ex-husband. The school district has a rule that no one is allowed to bring guns to school.

Some people say teachers should be allowed to carry guns to protect themselves. This is because there have been more shooting incidents at U.S. high schools recently. (AP)

J.K. Rowling has finished another book. This is the first book after her popular Harry Potter series.

The book is a collection of magical fairy stories called "The Tales of Beedle the Bard." It has pictures that Rowling drew.

Only seven copies of the book have been made. Six of the books have been given away. The seventh copy will be sold for at least 30,000 pound (¥7.2 million). The money will go to a charity that helps children in Europe. (AP)
